Lettuce Prices Fall

This post expired on October 28, 2022.

Hello Everyone,
With these cooler days and nights one supplier has a bumper crop of Lettuce at this time. This week Lettuce is priced at $1.25 a head. Some extra salad on the table this week? Pair this Lettuce with some of the Tomatoes and Cucumbers for an evening appetizer or snack.

Follow a salad with some Free range Chicken that is Pasture raised, Chemical, Hormone and Antibiotic free. Roast, Grilled or slow cooked in the crock pot, always full of flavor and healthy too.

Fall is time to do some canning, 25 lb boxes of Tomatoes for just $32, this will make several quarts of Tomato sauce. Or perhaps pickle some Cucumbers. If you have any questions about canning, a great way to save and preserve food without any pesticides hormones or Antibiotics, visit the canning information link at the bottom of the page.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is not far away. I will state the obvious, there will NOT be a market on Thanksgiving Day. We will bring the market forward to Tuesday Thanksgiving Week. Market will open the Friday morning before Thanksgiving, and close 9:00 a.m. Monday. Please order as early as possible to assist our growers. Special Orders for Meat and Fish can be called in the week before I am trying to arrange an open phone line for Sunday p.m.

Time Change
Next weekend it is time to change the clocks, so put them back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night, and enjoy the extra hours sleep.
