Hi all CCLG members
Summer continues with hot days and frequent rain. While we need the rain growing anything other than Okra is very challenging.
CONGRATULATIONS go to Jeff Berman of Inverness. He entered our Facebook competition and his lucky number came up. Jeff receives a $25 market credit. Our thanks go to our volunteer, Becca Jackson for organizing that.
As the summer goes on think about changing up the salad or even easier is to try the Calamari Salad from Simply Seafood. Asian inspired flavoring.
Eggs have been short for a few weeks now. Florida Fresh Meat has made a small quantity of their eggs from pastured chickens available.
Talking of fresh meat did you notice the recall of beef this week? That is another reason to know where meat is raised and processed.
Purchasing your produce from local growers and knowing sources helps to keep you and your family safe from food borne illnesses.
